Scholarships Available
RVEC takes great pride in helping develop rural leaders in our region. We offer scholarships to recognize academic and community achievements made by young people in the communities we serve.
RVEC has several scholarship opportunities available.
These scholarships are considered an investment in rural areas' economic future. Recipients are selected based on their academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and a statement of education and career goals. The scholarships must be used for educational costs, and the student must attend college in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is awarded.
If you have any questions, call our office at 712.659.3649.
The first is available through our wholesale power supplier, Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
This is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to one (1) of RVEC's applicants each year. Any student dependent on an RVEC member-owner is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Completed application forms with all required information must be postmarked by January 15, 2025, or you can drop them off at our office, 28725 Highway 30, PO Box 486 Glidden, IA 51443, by 4:00 p.m.

All applicants must submit a letter of reference from a high school instructor, guidance counselor, current employer, or manager of a member electric cooperative with their applications.
